Q: Is Elite Cosmetology School approved by the State of California?
A: Yes, we were approved on March 13, 2008 and our school code is 08005.

Q: Is Elite Cosmetology School an accredited school?
A: Yes, by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences, NACCAS.

Q: Do you have Title IV funding (financial aid)?
A: No, not at this time!   Our current goal is to have the funding available by mid to late June 2010.

Q: Do you accept the GI Bill?
: Yes.  Check the type of GI Bill the member invested in and that will inform you of what will be covered.

Q: What are the graduation requirements?
A: To receive you Diploma you must complete the required program hours, (1600 for Cosmetology, 600 for Esthetician or 400 for Manicuring) and successfully pass the written and practical examinations and complete the required number of practical procedures.  As of April 2010 we have a  100% pass rate in all subjects

Q: Once I finish the program, will I get my license?
A: You must pass an examination by the California State Board.  We will work with every student and prepare you for the exams with a “mock board”, so you will be fully prepared.  You must have a picture ID and a valid Social Security Card to take the State test.

Q: What days do we attend?
A: School is 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.  

Q: When can I start School?
A: With our open enrollment policy, the programs are offered continuously.  Classes start on a weekly basis on Tuesdays.  You must have completed your intview with the Director and all required documentation prior to beginning.

Q: Is there a minimum age to enroll?
A: You must be at least 17 years of age or graduated from High School.  You will not be eligible to take the state-licensing exam until you reach the age of 17.

Q: Do I need to have a High School Diploma?
A: No, but if you do not have a diploma or a GED, you will be required to take and pass the ATB (Ability To Benefit) exam.
